I’m a beginner to torrenting and I’ve been wondering what is the best VPN for torrenting. I’ve been considering Mullvad VPN, but they discontinued port forwarding, so I’m not sure which one to pick now. I’ve heard that AirVPN and Proton are one of the best ones right now, but I am still not sure which one to decide on. Thoughts?
NordVPN is the only answer you should go with. It allows torrenting and I get high speed downloads with it. But the reason I’m recommending it here is because of this deal I found on their site. It turned to be cheaper than most VPNs and the service is just exquisite.
Wireguard
with config file
Fastest and reliable
Never saw that kind of instant speed in my life
I use purevpn. Cheap (when you get a special) and it works.
And it has port forwarding, though that costs a bit extra.
I never hear much about them. Maybe they have a bad rep? I dont know, but they work fine for me.
Wondering the same thing. I’ve just got back into torrenting because I cut my cable finally. Feels good.
Also, follow-up, do I really need port forwarding for torrenting? Is it recommended and necessary?
Torguard is boss, static port forwards so it’s easy to configure and a reconnect doesn’t change the port.
I’ve heard bad things about airvpn
I got a 3 year subscription to AirVPN for under $90. I used Mullvad previously for a while, and 3 years of that would have been $180 (in addition to a lack of port forwarding). I’m pretty happy!
For me, if you are only torrenting downloads, not in large amount, maybe less than 100gb per month. Then maybe try surfshark. If your “Best” is in cheapest. The only downside I can think of for torrenting is no port forwarding, like somtimes it does not download but for that cheap, I think it is fine. If you have any question about surfshark, I maybe can answer them as I been using them for a while now ( a few years).
Not a VPN….
but vpn is not needed with services like alldebrid
(Converts the torrent to direct download) (no seeding etc)
I’ll always vote Proton. Been using their mail client for almost a decade. And without going into too much details, I know they have kept my information safe/their encrypted mail box is legit. So they get my money for vpn as well. Intuitive UI, easy to set up, works great on my TVs and phones.
But dont you need port forwarding support, which according to the NORD website they dont offer?
Im currently using PIA but the speed has dropped quite a bit
Windscribe is a good option, but I think NordVPN is better. They have a lot of servers and they’re very fast.
I’ve been using NordVPN for a while and haven’t had any issues. They have a lot of servers and good speeds.
I’ve tried a few different VPNs and I think ProtonVPN is the best for privacy. They have a no-logs policy and they’re based in Switzerland.
do you need to get the version with end to end encryption?
Where’d you get the configuration file? =]
been using WebSecureNow to watch and download shows from different regions its just smooth streaming and no buffering
From your experience, has it been quite trustworthy?
