Hi, I want to buy borderlands 1 Game of the Year edition (could be the enhanced edition or not) but is blocked region on steam here in Venezuela. Also I search for it in pages like Eneba to buy a key but it says that it’s also bloked in my region and I don’t want to waste that amount of money just to test if it works.
Anyone have idea what else I could do to play one of the favorite games of my life, I really don’t want or like the piracy:(
Have you tried other game stores that aren’t part of the Steam ecosystem, like GOG.com? BL1 GOTY edition is available there (in the US, at least). Humble Bundle also has it on their store.
get a VPN. a VPN will let you spoof your IP address to the USA and will let you purchase games exclusive to the US. it also allows you to stream movies and access websites that are region locked.
don’t use a vpn to buy games on steam youll get your account banned and will need a US address.
If he’s gonna spoof. Might as well not pick the US. Pick some other 3rd world country with cheap games. Rather then 1st world with the most expensive games.
