R* was not lazy at all they didn’t want to pay for a license that would allow their virtual gambling. But yes you can use a VPN to tunnel your internet traffic through a server in the US and take part in all the DLC has to offer.

No it requires the system that you are using to play the game to connect to the internet using vpn. For instance having a laptop that is connected using vpn software and bridging the console through the laptop. It’s a very annoying process. I would do a google search on how to run your console through VPN software. I’m sure there is info somewhere that will help.

Yes I would get NORD vpn or do a quick research on some good vpn software. Once you have the software installed you will run it which will tunnel all your traffic. You can check in the cmd prompt by doing ipconfig and it won’t show your normal ip address. Then you just launch the game and go to town. Just make sure you use a server on the vpn that is in a country that allows the game to run the dlc, like the USA
Yeah just install a VPN software and have it connect to the us, then restart your game if it was already running and you should be able to gamble
Is Opera GX VPN enough or do I have to pay for something else?
As long as it can route your connection to a different area you should be good
