Can’t Log Into Hulu on Apple TV – JSON Error & Login Loop

I’m having trouble logging into my Hulu app on my Apple TV. I either get an error about “JSON structure,” or the login button just spins for a bit and then stops without actually logging me in. My password is correct, so that’s not the issue.

I do use a VPN to access Hulu, but there’s nothing wrong with the VPN itself. I’ve already tried deleting and reinstalling the app multiple times, but the problem persists.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any fixes?

Anyone found a solution? This just started happening to me. Only issues on the Apple TV VPN, nothing else. So frustrating

I have 2 VPN services. This is happening for me too on one of them.

It’s likely Hulu blocking VPN access.

This is happening to me as well since last week. It works fine with VPN from my iPad just ATV giving me this weird JSON error

I’m having the same issue here. Hulu Apple TV app is up to date. Nord VPN is working for the rest of the streaming services, only issue is with Hulu.

Only workaround I found was airplaying content from the Hulu app on my iPhone to the Apple TV. :man_shrugging:t3:

I have the same thing, only one time after I entered my password, Hulu displayed the message that Hulu would not work with an anonymous VPN proxy service. I use NordVPN.

Same here, so frustrating. It worked for so long

I was able to resolve this by disconnecting the VPN, logging in to Hulu with it disconnected, and then reconnecting the VPN. Working fine now.

Missing the Oscar’s for this. The one time I needed Hulu. BS service

Hulu started to enforce a new way of blocking VPNs on some of their TV apps. Since then a couple of VPN’s don’t work anymore. So the login is probably a part of this issue. The only thing you can try is going through different VPN providers. I have already tried these: NordVPN; Surfshark; ExpressVPN. None of them work! I may try others soon but they are really expensive and I don’t want to keep throwing out money for nothing. One workaround that does work though is to use the Disney+ app with the Hulu section

Same! I made myself a bubble bath and a glass of wine to watch the Oscar’s and here I am soaking and chillin with no Oscar’s :frowning: guess I’ll just doomscroll instead.
