So I used to be able to redeem codes from other regions no problem, just by going to the store of that region and redeeming.
Now it doesn’t seem to work. I used VPN, everything, but nothing.
Did MS change things in their side or what do you think happening?

Seems to have worked finally
Tried everything. Clearing cache, clearing all saved data from my Microsoft account, deleted all payment methods…
What I think was the problem is the actual vpn I was using. I used Tunnel Bear and another one. But then tried the Chrome Hola VPN extension and it worked
Edit: I now use ExpressVPN
I had to remove my saved payment details (PayPal) to use codes from a different region. Worth a try if you have PayPal or a card saved.

Hello! I do have the same problem. I tried VyprVPN and TunnelBear. Still it recognizes that I have a German account. Maybe this is due to my Xbox still being connected to my account?

does this still work? i found Destiny 2’s witch queen code for cheap because its an Argentina code. My two concerns are for one its technically a DLC and two while it is the license code it has not released yet so i wouldn’t be able to test it. Would it still work or not?

TunnelBear VPN not working, tried Urban VPN (it’s free) and it worked fine for AR keys.
Do you guys recommend gamivo? If so, what should I look out for on the sellers?
ExpressVPN failed me, I tried this UrbanVPN everyone is mentioning and it worked right away. May be that they are flagging vpn providers or ExpressVPN doesn’t really have a server in Turkey. I know alot of my stuff was defaulting to Netherlands for language which made little sense
Hey. I had the same problem with an UK-code. I couldn‘t redeem it through the website even if i used a VPN. I solved it like this:
I changed the region, the language etc. on the XBOX to the region of the key, then i connected my phone to an VPN Service of the key region.
Now i set my phone as a Hotspot and connected the XBOX to it and redeemed the Code on the Xbox.
(Sorry for the Bad english it’s not my primary Language)

Hey man. I seem to be having a similar issue with a code I purchased from Kinguin. The code says AR which I assume is Argentina but the kinguin website says it can only be activated in Russia which by the Xbox url is RU.
I’ve tried different VPNs but can’t seem to redeem my code. Could you please help me out if it’s not too much hassle? Maybe via DM? Thanks.

Removed all my payment methods, logged in with Argentinian VPN. Went to redeem.microsoft.com. It still says my email (France), and won’t accept the code
