My VPN constantly connects and disconnects and it’s really tough to WFH when I need to. No other devices on my network have this issue. Anyone have any idea how to help sustain a connection with VPN?
Try a one of the different servers, preferably one labeled Optimus; source I asked DXC once
This further underscores the reason corporate removed “Technologies” from the company name. It was a blatant misnomer.
I had the same issue and I changed servers and it kept kicking me out. Dxc had to update some software and it was fixed! It took them like 3 days but so worth it.
Sometimes it helps to use a hard line Ethernet connection instead of WiFi.
I had the same issue a couple months ago.
I had to run Dell Command app and check for updates. Had a lot to install.
If you want DM me and we can connect on Teams. I work in DT, (on the project side) and we go can over the basic steps I took to remedy. If that doesn’t work, I’m the kinda guy who makes it my business to connect users with the right resources to solve problems.
Happened to me also, took 4 help desk tickets over 6 months to get it sorted smdh
What version of VPN client are you running? Do you see the full list of VPN servers available and are some of them the new Optimus ones? You may simply need an updated client.
What other devices outside of your work laptop are you connecting to the VPN that lead you to say “no other devices on my network have this issue”
Optimus Chicago has been gold for me.
Right… RTX has no fancy technology in their playbook…
Standard DXC ticket or just reach out to local IT?
All of my personal devices run on my WiFi just fine. The only issue is my work computer that was also on my WiFi but also VPN.
Standard dxc ticket , the first two levels of dxc could not fix it. It had to go to tier 3 or third level because they are the only ones that can remote in.
Our VPN has so many firewalls and redirects built in your internet speed is dropped by half.
Add that to the security filters and constant required updates on our PCs and it can get messy.
