How Ukraine is a server location? Is it even safe?

The data center provider there is not evacuated? How user data is safe there?

The server has been there for a while. It hasn’t gone down or switched to virtual (V) yet. If you see it move to virtual, it probably has gone down. The server is located in Kyiv which is still under control of the Ukrainians. I watch it closely to see if it ever goes down, surprised it’s still up myself. I imagine that it’s still safe as long as it continues to run

I use Ukraine VPN while watching news about them on You tube.

It’s safe as far as surfshark service reaches, but don’t forget after the vpn server your data leaves unencrypted the data center…

And there’s probably the eyes of all kinds of data agency’s on it atm for obvious reasons.

That’s why I wouldn’t use any Ukrainian or Russian locations atm also other high risk locations the vpn server is safe yes but after the vpn locations server the data leaves unencrypted inside that country.

Even Reddit is https encrypted. Your traffic is not unencrypted if the servers you’re using are encrypted. Facebook, google, anything like that is also still encrypted.

tons of stuff isnt encrypted like 99% of peoples DNS requests , emails , most connections , most services they use.

i also spoke about Data agencys as in the Fapsi / FSO , NSA , BND and more for sure can break simple HTTPS traffic , also HTTPS traffic relies on a huge chain of “trust” on the cert level if any of these sources get infiltrated / hacked / changed your browser will happily oblige and accept it so the threats i outlined stand, the server locations in “high risk” countrys are less safe for obvious interest of said agencys not because of the VPN companys hosting those locations.

a Properly configured VPN connection is way harder to open to near impossible still live so it would be safer to VPN out of these countrys but not INTO these countrys.
