I have a AT&T BGW320-505 and I'm trying to connect to my work VPN usign FortiClient IPsec VPN

I cannot seem to configure my router to receive any packets once the connection is established.

I tried - IP Passthrough

I tried setting up NAT TCP/UDP forwarding rules for ports 500,4500,50,51

I tried Firewall Advanced settings, setting Reflexive ACL, ESP ALG and SIP ALG settings on/off.

I do not have any packet filters enabled.

I tried turning off IP6.

I’m at a loss of what the setting should be. It seems like it works for other people in the company, and it works of SSL, but I cannot get it to forward traffic over IPsec.

Any ideas?

can you be a bit more specific? You are running a VPN client on a laptop or PC from inside your home to connect to a VPN server at work? You are just using the BGW320 and do not have a personal router?

Are you running any kind of firewall on your PC that could be blocking that app?

yes, just a laptop plugged in directly into BGW320, connecting to work using FortiClient VPN configured for IPsec… I’m just trying to figure out if there’s anything that needs to be set on the BGW320 to make it work…

I found the issue and it’s super dumb - I isolated it to the network port on the docking station. When plugged directly into the laptop, it works fine. Over wifi, it works fine. Plugged into the docking station, no go. So, it’s either the docking station port or the network adapter settings for that port.

Does your forticlient miniport show up under the right device? (device manager)

i bet it is because you installed the VPN client when it wasnt on the docking station. Try removing the VPN client and then connecting to the dock. reinstall while connected to the dock and see if that fixes the dock issue.
