Plus around 5 more unpinned. Could this + 100 tabs be the cause of my poor battery life on a new laptop?

Dude please list down those extensions.
Let us also know which ones are more useful
Maybe? Of more concern should be the potential for your private information being gathered by one or more of your extensions. How much did you pay for each? Where do you think the money comes from for developing these extensions?
For those that care about privacy, keep your extension list to the bare minimum. And research those you allow, to see what they collect from you.
I would not really say that less than 20 extensions by the looks of it is too much. But this is also depends on how powerful the laptop is and what exactly these extensions are for. So if you are worried about it, you can install an extension manager extension - something like Extensity - which will allow to easily you disable/re-enable extensions, which you are not using constantly, when they become necessary.
I don’t recognize any of them.
Your search bar must be tiny!
It’s much more likely that 100 tabs are affecting your battery life than the extensions, unless you have some really crazy extensions
I recognize the first three in your list, none of which should cause major issues. As long as the others are well-designed from established vendors, they shouldn’t be a major problem. At least in comparison to 100 tabs
Yeaaaaaaaaah that’s too many. Turn off some if you still need but don’t use.
Hi there,
Most Chrome extensions are now using Manifest V3 with a service worker, which reduces memory usage in your Chrome web browser. As of June 2024, Manifest V3 is recommended on the Chrome Web Store.
So when you do not click on the button, it is not stored in memory, ensuring it will not slow down your web browsing experience.
To learn more see this developer Manifest V3 guide:

Stefan
