I dont trust VPNs and im trying to use Tor the safest way possible, is there any workaround that I can do to make my experience safer?
- Yes, Tor is safe.
- No, you don’t need a VPN.
- No, you shouldn’t use proxychains.
- No, you shouldn’t use Kali either. If you want a distro for anonymity, go with Tails.
Also, Im running on kali, so I could use proxychains, but the browser already says that my ip is the one on the exit node
no, read this https://www.reddit.com/r/VPN_help/comments/lhphpc/tor_outage_how_a_major_attack_felled_the_onion/
The student was doing very bad stuff and somehow caught by using tor. Maybe under certain circumstances, tor might not able fully hide you.
Safer as in more secure or more private?
Yeah I gotta start using Tails, but im waiting to install it when I buy new flash drives. Anyways, thanks for the tips!
but in this case, tor just kinda got offline, so the problem was switching to another onion service I think
VeePN shill that posts an outdated problem that has been fixed, and also something a VPN cannot fix or would have anything to do with.
The got the IP from email headers.
they checked the schools computer logs.
He was using the schools computers and was the only one on Tor.
And then he admitted it.
yeah, but I saw a video about this case, and there was some exceptional circunstances, like he wasnt using a bridge, and they got him via a correlation attack. But thanks for the advice anyway!
More secure and anonymous.
I tried to use the safest setting of the browser but it crashes the websites that it visit (even DuckDuckGo)
If you want a distro for anonymity, go with Tails.
also, email header was not encrypted and exit node was revealed. This enable the authority to trace and scaling down search perimeter
