I’m near the end of my year subscription to TunnelBear. So far so good. But, PIA gets rave reviews, and I’m curious about it.
What is your take on one vs the other?
TIA.

There was a Linus tech tips video recently where he said that TunnelBear was being acquired by Mcaffee, which apparently might change how they have to handle keeping data logs or something like that, so that could be something to look into or keep in mind.
I’ve been using PIA on and off for the past 3 years without any single issue, they are cheap and lets me torrent things before I buy them. Never tried TB before so I can’t say much but LinusTechTips YouTube channel switched from TB to PIA and that made me like PIA even more.
PIA all the way. Way more features for people that know what they’re doing and it even includes socks5 and http proxies. Also very fast and I didn’t even notice it was on.
Never used TunnelBear, but I’ve been using PIA across various devices for the past two years without any problems.
I’ve been really happy with Windscribe. Great iOS and Windows/macOS apps. They have a lot of specials. I actually got a lifetime membership.
PIA. Tunnelbear is questionable after its recent acquisition.
I was a TB user until almost a year ago when I switched to PIA. On the Mac, the TB app is a lot more stable (it connects easier) although PIA offers a lot more features (auto-connect/re-connection). What made me move to PIA is because TB doesn’t work with torrent clients while PIA does (but that was a year ago- not sure if it’s still the case).

I personally don’t use any VPN yet, but have been recommended to buy this one.
I’d suggest ibVPN. They are affordable, efficient, and they are innovative with protocols. They have softether, openvpn and all the other ones. They recently introduced stealth VPN. It basically shields your VPN connection to make it appear like a normal http request.
They offer free trials and also money back guarantee so feel free to check. I’ve been using them for over 6 years.
Neither. NordVPN is the one you want. I’ve used many of the most-recommended VPN services, and Nord tops them all in terms of speed, services, and security/privacy.
For sure! Thanks for the tip.
torrent things

Thanks for the reply. Good to know.
At this point, that is beyond my needs, but good to know. Thanks for the reply.
Thanks for the reply!
I’ll look into it; thanks.
Thanks. This seems to be a theme.
Thanks for the heads up on the Mac client.
I’ll check it out. Thanks!
