Mac: is there a way to have my torrent traffic bypass my VPN? How about WeChat?

My VPN provider is using a clash-based app, but they also support going through pretty much any VPN app, so I can change to whatever app is necessary to make this happen. I’m currently based in China, so somewhat funnily compared to many places, I don’t want torrenting to go through the VPN, but I do want everything else to (except for wechat, if possible). I assume this has to be possible, I’m just not quite sure.

Any tips on how to make this possible? So just to be clear, I want to run my VPN normally, but I want torrenting (also happy to use whatever bittorrent app, I currently use Transmission) to bypass my VPN and go directly to the internet. If possible, I’d like WeChat to also bypass my VPN. Not sure how to achieve that.

Does your vpn software allow split tunneling ?

Ah so that’s the keyword. Do you know of any Mac VPN clients that allow it? My provider works with any client that has the standard subscription mechanisms…
