Greetings friends and players. Since yesterday, I’ve noticed that some users are reporting problems activating the xbox game pass via VPN. so I’m wondering what experiences do you currently have ? The problem first appeared yesterday . So since yesterday what are your experiences ? Is this restriction only for india region or for all regions ? Please share your experience.
For india just change the location to singapore but keep using india vpn, thank me later.
It worked !!
After multiple tries with an Indian code (I’m based in the NL) and VPN this is what worked for me:
- (Privado) VPN to Singapore
- Microsoft region set to Singapore
- Redeemed Indian code
It works and bonus: “Turn on recurring payments and get 1 month free”
Has anyone tried which regions go and which don’t ?
I couldn’t redeem the India code either, I spoke to technical support, changed the country to India and put an address there and they told me to wait 24 hours and try again.
So friends . A friend was doing an experiment today…he has a paid VPN tried to enter a key to the US via VPN … This works …is it possible that Microsoft is blocking only free vpn ip or blocking only the cheapest regions . Anyone have the option to try a paid vpn to another region ? Try this option
Since yesterday? My account expired today and now I seem to done with Xbox because I live in unsupported region. I am so sad I didn’t have time to finish avowed 
I just tried multiple time today to activate game pass 12 month India
tried urban vpn and cyber ghost
Both are giving me this error does it still work cause it doesn’t work for me

having india code issues this evening too in the US. I haven’t tried using india vpn with Singapore yet, but isn’t singapore on the 13 month non-stack restriction? assuming it worked, I’d convert the first 12 month code to GPU then add the additional core codes. I’ve heard it works but only gives about 13 months before expiration date.
what a mess this is.
Would it make more sense paying a little bit more for the core codes from a country like Japan that isn’t on the restricted list? has anyone tried that? and did you switch your microsoft region back to your normal one?

Do the xbox game pass codes from turkey no longer work by VPN? Because I’m wondering to buy it from eneba or cdkey. I have one from brasil and i cant activate, and i hear the code form India didnt work
Activation of the key purchased on eneba for the Argentina region.
I know it's off-topic, but I looked for a solution for 4 hours but didn't find it, so I know how you feel and I want to share with you how I did it. I installed nord vpn. I took advantage of the free trial period. I turned on VPN for the Argentina region and created a new Microsoft account. I activated the code and it worked. Now the game key purchased on eneba works :)
Thanks for this thread, managed to activate this using info from here (Singapore location) with India pass. I’ve now got 8 months subscription on ultimate. Does anyone know if I could top this up 3 months by buying a 3 month ultimate pass and adding it on? As this would still be under the 13 month limit? Still works out cheaper for me About half price (£5 a month versus £10 for PC pass)
How do you go about the payment method to converting to ultimate when it asks for a Singapore/Region?
