My chrome have the ability to open blocked sites without a vpn?

i’ve downloaded vpns before in this browser but i’ve uninstalled it due to its being free and free vpn’s caused more harm than paid ones. but the ability to open blocked sites like reddit (in my country indonesia its bliocked) and “adult” websites is still there for some reason.

i’ve tried to use other browsers like firefox for some reason i can’t access blocked sites. browsers on my iphone and android also doesn’t have the ability to open blocked sites.

anyone might know why and how is this possible? i feared that my privacy is at risked while using this browser. since my chrome browsers have a vpn in the past but i’ve uninstalled it already.

yeah i know i dont need vpn to open blocked sites like reddit anymore but like how is my chrome able to do this.

and also i’ve seen the link that you’ve sent me and i don’t see an option in the settings thing.

I figured it out at least in my country wifi, changing the internet dns allows me to access blocked websites in my country e.g Reddit.

I use cloudflare dns.
