Hi all - My PIA VPN has been in the orange “disconnecting” phase for a few days now. I have tried logging out and logging back in. I have also tried to fully exit from the app and re-upload. Any ideas? Thanks!

Mine has been disconnecting and immediately reconnecting but changing my forwarded port almost every time. I don’t have to do anything though…other than be annoyed.
Try different server.
Reinstall the app by downloading latest version.
I’ve been experiencing this ever since I’ve upgraded the OS to Ventura… Prior to that, no issues.
Go on the support site and the chat. They will give you a link to an installer which should fix it.
There seems to be some issues with the latest Android update from the comments, so it’s best to wait a month imo before applying any update.
Ugh! How long has that been happening for? I’m wondering if it’s worth switching VPNs.
I’ve tried a few different servers and no matter what I do, or which server I choose, it still has the spinning “disconnecting” wheel of death.
I suppose it’s time to try the uninstall/reinstall method.
I’ve contacted Technical support about this issue. It has thus far rendered VPN unusable as I’m not even able to load a web page because of the disconnection/reconnection during the process. It’s continual for me - disconnect/reconnect/disconnect/reconnect - regardless of server, regardless of split tunneling, regardless of shadow hopping.
Several days now. I can’t switch because PIA is the ONLY one doing reverse split tunneling that works. I just hope they fix whatever’s going on. It hasn’t happened yet today.
It just happened…dropped and reconnected. PF didn’t change this time.
which protocol are you using…Wireguard or OpenVPN(if Open VPN, are you using TCP or UDP?)?
Also…are you using port forwarding… or PIA DNS or Built-In Resolver?
the uninstall and re-install method might be your best bet honestly… also check the status of your subscrpition…no I am not being a smart-a** when suggesting this but just to be sure your plan/account is stall active never hurts.
As for me I can connect find EXCEPT for when I want to use OpenVPN–>UDP—>Port 123… For this issue I have not been able to connect…however the other ports have worked flawlessly for me. This issue for me has persisted for Windows, IOS, and i believe Android as well from my experience…
but again, I would recommend to Disconnecting, Logging-Out, then Quitting the PIA application, uninstalling, restarting your device…restarting your device… reinstalling the PIA application and see what happens from there… have you tried multiple different port numbers or Wireguard?
I hope this helps man… I hate hearing your having trouble, as for me I love this VPN through and through… i just switched back to PIA from Torguard after 5 years or so.
Has tech support said anything?
That’s so weird!! Maybe someone will see this and be able to help?
Not yet. I did submit it about 20 minutes ago, and did receive a verification of my ticket being submitted. Hopefully I’ll get a response within a day.
On their suggestion, to reinstall the app (which I did prior), I have since uninstalled the app using something like AppCleaner (removing everything related, not just the app itself) and then reinstalled it (not the beta, but the latest release). It’s been solid for the last hour.
Would be nice. PIA has been rock solid for me for years, this is super unusual.
Has it been rock solid for you for years? That’s good to know. I only recently began using it so part of this inquiry is wondering if something like this is a common or uncommon occurrence.
Very uncommon in my experience.
