I have a client that will be traveling and using public VPN and other un-trusted networks. The person needs a VPN service to be able to connect to to push all the data through. I am looking for something a little more professional than Nord VPN and more security focused. Anybody have any good experience with any vendors.
“to be able to connect to to push all the data through”
Do you mean to be able to connect to their work network and communicate to other devices such as file servers on the office network ?
Are you a one-man show/consultant or are you a staffer who is member of a team at an MSP company ?
Depending on the size of the org and use case, you could deploy Cloudflare Zero Trust free for up to 50 users.
Mulvad. It’s not free, but I can watch YouTubeTV with it from wherever. So that’s worth it to me right there.
Tailscale works and is pretty easy to setup.
Zero Tier? Tailscale? Microsoft AlwaysOn (depending on infra)?
None of the above if “abroad” means China though.
We just started deploying NordLayer, easy to setup and you can also setup with SSO with MS identity.
We use Astril with static private USA IPs and VIP data packages for users who travel to China.
Pretty sure OP isn’t looking for a vpn back to home. I don’t think Tailscale would be of any value unless they setup infra back home.
Maybe Mullvad as an alternative?
Presumably they would set it up to work with company infrastructure, not home.
