Netflix error “not able to use in your region” after updating credit card

update : as everyone said, it works normally again after a month!!

so I had a venezuelan account before. Around christmas I had to update my card and it asked for a venezuelan number, which I don’t have (I live in Germany).

I gave up looking for solutions and decided just to pay the ridiculous German Netflix price. But comes the next thing : I am sharing the account with my family in Asia and after this card/region update, they cannot access netflix due to error code m7111-5095

anyone found a solution for this?

wanna save $? delete that account today, buy a VPN service and buy a servcie from another country and pay with gift cards, they use the card info to locate you, with gift cards is totally different and 100% legal. I’ve been doing it for the last year and I pay 3 times less for same service

Im having this right now. Got netflix Turkey yesterday via vpn & gift card. All looked good until I went off the vpn and tried to access in my own country (UK) and I get a error saying streaming not supported. Hopefully like others have said, after 30 days it should be all good. If that doesnt work I’ll remove my UK card hopefully that works

I don’t think there is much you can do for the next 30 days or so. You’ll be restricted to Germany only and they’ll need to use a VPN to access it until the lock on your again is removed at the end of the first billing period since the change in billing region.

How much is service from Venezuela? I get mine from Turkey for £4.23 a month or thereabouts, depending on exchange rate.

I’ve heard after a region update for 1 month after the change you can only use the account from that country. So this problem may disappear in 30-31 days.

at this point I’m just too lazy to buy vpn and explain my parents how to change dns in the smart tv in my home country :sweat_smile::sweat_smile::sweat_smile::sweat_smile: i just hope it works again after 30 days like the other comment said

Is this true? After 1 month, region lock gets lifted? I have issue watching netflix on my Turkish account here on Asia and I’m torn if I should keep it or just cancel.

it was €8ish. i know turkey is cheap, I’m just too lazy to buy vpn… i just want to have this account available to use with my family in asia …

This often happens, except it’s not only one country, it’s the region, or at least neighbouring countries too. Doesn’t help the op though, since his parents are far from Germany.

Was just asking in case I was missing out on even cheaper prices. Turkey is as cheap as it gets for Netflix I think.

Nice, thanks for the answer. I just subbed through Turkey with a VPN from Canada and got the same thing. Looks like I should be good to stop using the VPN in a month.
