Norton 360 vs Bitdefender Premium

I am a bit on the fence trying to decide between getting a premium antivirus subscription for both Norton 360 and Bitdefender. I have tried both over my lifetime and they both have their ups and downs for me, but I was hoping to see what others thought about each one and what professionals had said about each one to see if it helped sway my decision at all. (Also aside from online/google where did you hear about bitdefender, because people I asked about it had never heard of the product before I asked if they thought it was a good AV)

Norton:
P: Good anti vrirus/malware software (from what I can tell when running occasional scans and finding nothing)
C: To many false positives on websites
P: not a bad built in vpn
C: To many features/ads at times.
C: High Price and no free trial version

Bitdefender:
P: So far seems like a good antivirus
C: Seems bloated at times and has a slow VPN
P: Easy and streamlined to Use.
C: To many pop up ads (Could be due to free trial ver or I havent figured how to turn them off yet)
P: Fairly Cheap Price with a good free trial

Some basic pro and con comparisons I thought of off the top of my head, If I sat down and dug deeper I probably could make a more coherent comparison list.

Easy one to answer for me - Bitdefender.

Norton changed their interface a few months ago and its now just upselling garbage.

They’ve even sneaked their grotty “Ultimate Utilities” browser cleaner ads into the default “smart scan” enabled by default and prompted all throughout the app.

Not a company that can be trusted to keep anyone secure.

Id personally just use Windows Defender (with Ublock origin) because it does just as good as a job without all the bloat. I’d use free softwares to do occasional scans, and then use a different service just for vpn.

Isn’t Norton garbage?
