I’m traveling for quite some time and can’t download the app of my credit card company. The play store said the app would not be available on my country.
I installed some VPN service with good reviews, connected to servers in my country and am still not able to download the app. Closed the playstore tab, turned off GPS, still not able. Some IP checking website tells me, that the VPN is working tho.
If you’re talking Google play it uses the location you set with your email address. Whenever I’ve needed a local app that wasn’t available in the play store I create a new email and log into that and then download the app. Works every time.
You need to change your account location and this can only be done once every 6 months. What I did was make a separate account for the USA market and downloaded from there. Then I manually pulled the APK from my devices data folder.
Did you checked https://apkmirror.com for the app you are looking for?
Thanks that was the info I needed! I was able to change my country in the play store without getting a new account tho. For anyone with a similar problem:
U da man
How do you change your country in your email address?
Thanks but actually just changing the country in the play store was enough.
But you can do this only once per year. This might be a big issue is some cases, where you need to do this just temporarily…
