Hi, I’m using the pia app on my Amazon firestick and recently it no longer connects to any server. I have restarted the firestick and my router as well as reinstalling the app. The iOS app on my phone works fine and connects to any server when also on my home network. Can anyone help? Thanks!
Go into settings on firestick app,change protocol to WireGuard,worked for me.

A couple months ago I had your issue of no connection that was fixed by just selecting a different location. More recently, had an issue with PIA on Firestick where it wouldn’t open on the store app or the side loaded APK directly from PIA. It would just attempt to open until it timed out to the menu home page. Was also having the same issue with another stick. PIA worked fine on my other devices. Tried everything including reaching out to customer support, who were zero help. Fixed it by doing a Firestick factory reset. Just checked my Firestick and PIA still connecting fine. Anyone have an issue where it gets stuck on the load screen. Been having that issue for a couple weeks and can’t seem to figure it out. Tried resetting my fire stick reinstalling the app nothing seems to work

The problem is that the app on the amazon store is a couple of years out of date.
If anybody still needs help with this, the best solution I found was to install via PIA’s website.
I did this by installing downloader, then either use Google and search or use below
Download the Best VPN App for Android - Simple Setup | PIA VPN
Scroll down to the bottom next to the “get it on play store” button you should see “download apk (advanced)” click this and you’ll have the most up to date version and 
no problems.
Ps you will need to enable install from unknown sources first.

This works, but there is no killswitch with PIA WireGuard. It’s a faster connection, but the chance of an internet blip and losing VPN connectivity while watching the Firestick is a little sketchy. I hope PIA can fix the OpenVPN protocol for the Firestick app.
