I just installed the synology rt2600ac router. I’m hoping to be able to access a vpn server on that router from the outside. I get a private 10.x.x.x IP from my ISP who is an extra nat later I can’t control.
Can the quickconnect hole punching allow vpn access from the outside? Or only other services such as the web admin interface?

QuickConnect doesn’t work with VPN. It’s not a DDNS service. That being said you have a static IP so you don’t even need DDNS. Either way if you don’t want to use the IP then get a domain name of some sorts.
There is always a possibility of taking the scenic route to get around the private IP limitation.
Create a tunnel for your AT&T to bridge you to a VPN Provider, and then have your VPN Provider forward a port back to your Network to your Synology VPN.
So then, you connect to your home VPN using the external IP Address of your VPN provider which is then forwarded to your home network and to your Synology NAS.
Unusual, but would get around your limitations with private IP addresses.
10.x.x.x addresses are local addresses (like 192.168.x.x addresses) - you can’t access them from the internet.
No static IP, I get 10.x.x.x from ISP and can only use hole punching to reach home. Zerotier and hamachi work, I was just hoping there was a built-in way with this new router.
I have a private IP, like 10.x.x.x. I have att wireless for isp and they have nat at the tower, so I can’t reach home without hole punching.
