Yesterday was charged $2.18 in my US debit card. Some details… used Surfshark VPN and went for the family hifi subscription. Also Apple Music gave me last week 4 months free and I enrolled to check the whole Lossless conundrum. I would still give Tidal a tiny edge even tho the quality of Apple Music improved drastically from 5 months ago!
Update a year after:
The subscription is still active and since the inflation and the strengthening of the USD now I only get charged a little less than 1.5 US dollars a month. Also, you didn’t hear this from me but you can do the same with YouTube Premium and get YT premium for 84 cents a month . Tried also doing Hbo max and it worked. Now I have 1 year of hbo max (no ads) for $30 a year!
I am wondering which payment you used because all cards country location are checked.
So your CC has not been issued in Argentina you get blocked. The VPN doesn’t help on this matter.
I used Tidal Argentina with no issues. If you Credit Card is rejected is it your CC issuers security blocking and if you attempt 3 times with the same card and the 3 digit digits on the back of the card will block you CC account. Try another card or call your issuer to allow/unblock your card. It is NOT Tidal blocking your card… It is your bank/CC issuer.
I tried using a VPN to register for a Tidal sub (from different locations) but every time I landed on tidal.com I got a “blocked” message. Different VPNs, same message.
Im not sure if this is correct, I called AMEX after two fails on the website and they didnt see any blocked charges, I did however get a credit limit increase lol
Did u try premium or free vpn? Also u have to enable vpn before u even enter tidal for the first time. I created 5 different account ( for me and my family members) and everything working fine
Also I installed the web browser Vivaldi so I wouldn’t have any cookies or whatsoever so it’s kinda like a clean sleight and tidal doesn’t have a clue where u truly located. At least I think so
