Hey! First Reddit post here.
I live in Estonia, and want to watch sports in the US. My problem is that the two VPNs I have tried are detected by some sports streaming sites, as well as some cable television channels (I access cable TV through a friend’s account).
Does anyone have any suggestions or advice on how I can get around the VPN being detected so I can watch sports in the US?
Your help will be greatly appreciated!
Get your friend to run a VPN on his home network and VPN into it. Will be like you’re browsing at your friends home.
I don’t use them, but PIA has streaming-specific servers that they actively manage to counteract blocks by streaming sites
Which VPNs have you tried? Not all are the same. Express is pretty high quality in my experience. This site here has 49% off https://totaltennis.tv/
WestNet VPN in Calgary is really good. its instant sign up and you also get an email address an a Seattle IP address if needed.
also they have Virgin Verizon IP addresses as well low latency residential IPs . no app needed supports PPTP each phone /device already has PPTP built in . its very clean and straight forward. https://www.westnet.ca/vpn
I don´t know what sites you are using but I never had a problem watching TubiTV.com with PIA and in the LiveTV section of TubiTV there are various sports channels.

Thanks. To be sure I understand: have my friend in the US run a VPN, and then from Estonia I log into his VPN?
Your pal in the US sets up a VPN server. For him, this would mean opening up ports to outside internet though, and it might be risky. In this scenario no additional VPN subscription would be necessary. Just VPN from you to your pa’'s server computer.
