Hey everyone!

Just wanted to share my experience and say that I would be very skeptical of purchasing a Nord VPN subscription from Amazon or Woot.

I purchased one last night. After not receiving the activation code, I reached out to customer service. They ended up emailing me the activation code, so I headed over to my.nordaccount.com/activate only to find that my code was invalid.

Thinking this was surely an issue on Nord VPN’s side, I contacted their customer service. Through my conversation with them, I was informed that Woot had sold me a code that had been redeemed by someone in May 2024 and confirmed that the email address using the subscription was indeed not mine.

I told Woot, who told me to place a new order. Except, it’s now sold out. Had Woot sent me the activation email in a timely manner, maybe I would have been able to activate the subscription I purchased.

Super disappointing experience with an Amazon company, which you would think would be conducting trustworthy business. So, sleep with one eye open if you’re thinking of purchasing a promo from Woot or Amazon… cuz by time you go to activate you may just find out that you’ve gotten got.

I bought it on Amazon with gift cards and it was a great experience.

Sheesh sorry you had to go through all that. I just got three with the recent woot sale and all worked fine :person_shrugging: I will give you it was unnerving to get the redemption code a day after the sale confirmation… You’d think they’d be able to streamline that like any other site.

In my case, the tracking number was the activation code.

If they told you this, I bet they should provide you with a new code, because the issue is on their side. Did you eventually receive the code?
