Celebrate spring with A Million Blooms — offering a million ways to have fun in the Garden and featuring a spectacular succession of blooms including daffodils, cherry blossoms, tulips, iris, roses and peonies. New this year A Million Blooms kicks off with Orchids Galore! — a spectacular display of orchids in the Conservatory. (March 12 – April 10). The celebration continues with millions of blooms throughout the spring season: daffodils, cherry blossoms, tulips, irises, roses and peonies. Learn how locks of sheep’s wool become a hat or scarf to wear, a rug to walk upon or a landscape painting. Demonstrations and a class on the nuno (or laminate) felting will be offered during the exhibition.
The “I Just Felt Like It” exhibition showcases various felting techniques, including wet felting, needle felting and nuno felting.

There will be fun activities for the kids throughout the day.

The Arts Walk is a self-guided walking tour that features opening receptions and exhibitions at downtown art galleries, museum displays, literary and dance performances, live music and theatre, shopping at a variety of retail destinations, and dining at some of the area’s finest restaurants. The evening also includes “hands-on” children’s activities on board the Allegany Arts Council’s Arts Bus .
Some of the evening performances may require the purchase of tickets; most activities are FREE and many participating venues offer discounts to Arts Walk participants.
