I use a private browser when looking for torrents so I never got one besides the one time I tried to download the last of us using chrome, I haven’t used a vpn ever for downloading
I’ve just been downloading them directly from websites. They’re usually Gdrive, mega or 1fichier links so they’re always fast
Private trackers and a seedbox, that’s all you need.

I haven’t had an issue with it as of now, might cary depending on the country. Then again, those “we got your IP, you live at XXX, get ####VPNBrand” ads always fail, like ALWAYS, and I got zero bloody protections

I get my game from a webpage that just take 3 seconds to search and games download in 6 minutes

seedboxes my guy, get one for a country where private download is legal, then you can sFTP to your pc.
Is it a bit more annoying, sure, is it a 100% safe, maybe, but does it keep my ISP from sending me letters, absolutely!
i live in third world country and big N is not any concern here same as X. only S is in my country. but yeah vpn must for torrent especially if your isp is monitoring traffic. in here my isp is only monitoring bandwidth ahahah even sometimes the ip is blocked by big S and X for being used by a lot of user

I load torrents on my phone, slap a large micro SD in it, then go to Walmart to download. They got pretty fast Wifi6/Fiber.

I know a few people who I I don’t particularly like (they’re pretty mean to me and my other friends) but by still keeping them as friends (even though they treat me badly) I can use their internet for high-speed torrenting, no VPN required.

I have a cocoleech premium account and that has the option to use magent torrent links (up to three at a time only) or your downloaded .torrent file you have on your PC and then it downloads the file thru their own servers/SSL or whichever so could then download the files without needing a VPN.

Ideally, I recommend Mullvad, It is a completely anonymous VPN service, that doesn’t even associate your account with an email address and encourages payment in cryptocurrency.
Honestly after having gone through a few free ones, I can say that even ProtonVPN works in my experience, if you can deal with the download speeds. I think you’re throttled to like 10mb/s or something.
